The 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week (5MPCW)
The 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week (5MPCW) will be held from April 7 to 11, 2025, at the Municipal Cultural Centre Panos Solomonidis in Limassol, Cyprus. This congress aims to bring together specialists and enthusiasts in the research and management of nature, focusing on the conservation of wild plants and their habitats around the Mediterranean.
The 5MPCW aims to build alliances for plant diversity conservation in the Mediterranean.
The 5MPCW follows a highly successful series of similar conferences organized successively in Montenegro (2016), Valletta (Malta, 2018), Chania (Crete, Greece 2021), and Valencia (Spain, 2023). The 5MPCW will be held in the beautiful city of Limassol, Cyprus, from April 7 to 11, 2025!
The 5MPCW will also serve as a forum for sharing experiences from different regions around the Mediterranean, fostering future cooperation projects among specialists from Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. It will showcase research and experiences through oral presentations and posters, covering topics such as plant and ecological sciences, citizen science, ethnobotany, local involvement, and sustainable management of plant resources.

The 4th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week (4th MPCW) is a congress that aims to bring together researchers and managers involved with the conservation of wild plants and their habitats around the Mediterranean. It will be a meeting point where different opinions and experiences from diverse fields of knowledge will converge and also a forum where experiences from the different sides of the Mediterranean region can meet and establish links for future cooperation projects.

International conference of the ENI CBC Med project BESTMEDGRAPE 27 September 2022
The Bestmedgrape – ENI CBC Med project will be presented at the international conference on 27 September in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Engineering (Via Marengo 2, Cagliari).
It will be possible to know the results obtained in the three years of the project, through 5 work sessions:
Session 1 – Characterization of grape and other Mediterranean cultivars;
Session 2 – Extraction and characterization of polyphenols from grape pomace and food by-products or waste,
Session 3 – Development and characterization of phytonanoformulations from grape pomace and food by-products or waste,
Session 4 – In vitro and in vivo bioactivity of phytonanoformulations from grape pomace and food by-products or waste,
Session 5 – Technology transfer and entrepreneurship based on grape and other Mediterranean by-products,
